House of Commons debates 12 October 2006:   Climate Change   (Parliamentary Debate - web link)
Many thanks to a SOCME spokesperson for the above web link and for the comment of...
"This is worth reading in its entirety.
Mostly utterly blinkered and horrific, with one or two recognitions of the drawbacks of wind power and current subsidy system. No-one says a dickey-bird against the main tenet of man-made climate change. Look out for the following (about 4.11 pm) attributed to a Chinese politician....
"Look, you've had your industrial revolution, you've had your chance to develop. Now it's our turn." .....
That Chinese politician said, "We want to see you suffer as well"

Charming.

Rather different polluting in ignorance (as when UK was comparatively slowly industrialising and as with anything new making mistakes) from zooming ahead and polluting regardless (if, of course, they believe in man-made climate change). Certainly they don't seem bothered about polluting their rivers.
Tempts me to wonder where climate change theories are being funded from.
Or are the Chinese solely opportunistic?
