Yesterday I decided, rightly or wrongly, not to upload the following South Wales Evening Post article to this web space for obvious reasons. However, since Jack Harris and Ioan Richard decided last night to make an issue of the article, through mass e-mailings, I feel it is only right and proper that it should be made available to those of you who are unable to receive a hardcopy of the newspaper, due to your locations.
You can decide for yourselves as to the content of the article.

It is interesting to read the comments from Paul Abbott, Total's project manager, about low frequency noise.
He seems to admit that there are low frequency noise issues associated with downwind facing turbines, whereas Dr Geoff Leventhal and the BWEA have continuously maintained that there are no significant problems with low frequency noise from wind turbines.

£1.9bn power station takeover proposal rejected   (article - web link)

The interesting item in this article is that E.On are considering a takeover offer for Scottish Power. One wonders whether E.On might apply for grant aid to pay for the takeover, because they have already asked for financial aid to build the Scarweather Sands wind farm project?

Wave Rider Buoys:
Since EO.N UK's public notice was published in yesterday's Western Mail newspaper, stating that 'they were applying to the Secretary of State for permission to install a Wave Rider Buoy on the site of the proposed Scarweather Sands offshore wind farm', a number of e-mails have been received, enquiring....

The next article from today's 'Western Mail' newspaper echoes loudly of the letters exchanged between Peter Hain MP (secretary of state for Wales); E.ON UK & Rhodri Morgan AM (first minister of the Welsh Assembly Government).
Those letters that the Scarweather Sands wind farm protesters obtained under the "Freedom of Information Act" have seemingly and very conveniently been brushed under the carpet by the Welsh Assembly Government.

It's no wonder that we have so many wind farm problems (among others) when we have a guy like Rhodri Morgan in charge of Wales.
