Personal comment:
Not strictly 'anti-wind farms' folks, but I believe that the series of letters in today's "The Independent" says it all. Even though New Labour were very recently re-elected, more and more people are totally 'fed up' with Mr Tony 'Bliar' and his New Labour policies.
My 'personal' experience from yesterday at the 'Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programme' (which incidentally was BRILLIANT, but five years too late) only re-confirms to me, that we have totally corrupt - idiotic - ego centered politicians in charge of our lives. If I had only been able to get on this 'course' five years ago, I am convinced that I would have still been working to this very day and contributing (in my own little way) towards a worth-while democratic way of life. We have 'politicians' controlling our lives with their stupid target lists instead of the 'hands-on' experts being allowed to do their jobs. Very competent people are completely restrained from being able to get on with their work due to the 'top-heavy' Bureaucratic New Labour target policies -- aided by their lap dogs in the Cardiff Bay Assembly. Enough said !!

Sustaining a Myth (letter - web link) Scroll down the WM web page to the second letter 'Sustaining a Myth.' It would appear that the Greens are now crossing swords with Plaid Cymru over Plaid's Energy Policy. I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- The Plaid Cymru renewable energy policy that I had to read before meeting Adam Price MP and Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM (two A4 pages which could have been put together better by some comprehensive school children) was utter rubbish. Nothing but political rhetoric about climate change.
Why not enough Welsh paths are as good as this (article - web link) It's all very well complaining about nettles and brambles overgrowing public access paths, and it's all very well the Countryside Council for Wales and the Ramblers Association throwing in their two penny worth but what about all the proposed wind turbine installations that are going to go up, on or near these paths, endorsed by the Countryside Council of Wales? Farmers stop turbine firm's plans (article - web link) I take my hat off to the farmers of Mynydd y Gwair and I feel extremely proud to be associated with the SOCME protest group - many of whose members are farmers. This is true peaceful protest in its finest form. These farming gentlemen stopped the might of NPower dead in its tracks. Extremely well done, everyone of you, who was involved in this skirmish and thank you for letting German owned NPower know that they just cannot ride roughshod over whoever, or whatever, they wish to bully. The farmers won a skirmish yesterday but the war is yet to come!!!
