Storm clouds approaching Penlle'r Castell
Photo Copyright © 2005 Carl Ryan Professional Photographer

Carl's Comments:
"The attached photo was taken on Sunday evening half an hour after the sun set at the ancient hill fort site on top of Penlle'r Castell. The pallid light was very strange and had that Arthurian look about it ...very weird !
I shot it from the road before it drops down towards the Scot's Pine pub. You can see the storm clouds approaching from over the Black Mountain and Tairgwaith in the distance."

The Loughor estuary and North Gower

Carl's Comments:
"Another landscape pic that I shot last Sunday evening 45mins after sunset. It was taken from Penlle'r Castell summit and shows the view west across the desolate expanse of upland moors of Pentwyn Mawr and the Loughor estuary and North Gower."

Mal's Comment:
"If this landscape on Mynydd y Gwair that Carl has captured so beautifully with his camera isn't worth fighting for - then I really don't know what is worth fighting for!"
