Not wind power and I apologise to my fellow SOCME members for 'blowing my top', but I think that I am personally allowed to whinge about something which I believe is just as important to me...... I must be living in a different world to these politicians who continually keep telling the public that the NHS waiting lists are falling.
I was referred in July 2005 to a NHS ophthalmology consultant to check out a growth which I have on my eye.
Last week I received the third cancellation since that referral date, due to
'circumstances beyond the control of the Carmarthenshire NHS Trust.'
It makes me wonder where our Welsh Assembly Government and our UK politicians get their figures from about falling waiting lists? It wouldn't surprise me in the least if it is the same 'experts & consultants' who provide the figures for wind power and the Welsh NHS waiting lists.

I hadn't realised turbines were bigger than Blackpool tower   (article - web)

In the name of 'sincerity', on reading something like this it makes me wonder when we hear the comments of a government minister, (who obviously has no idea what-so-ever of what he is talking about, or what his political party is intent on foisting on the unaware public), that perhaps it is time that all prospective government ministers (especially the WAG crowd) should compulsorily appear on an idiotic TV 'reality' programme like
"Big Brother - We Are Your Prospective Government Ministers"
before they are allowed to even contemplate submitting their names for public office duty?

From past correspondence with the Countryside Council of Wales (CCW) they implied that they do not get involved in planning issues, yet the above WM article clearly states that the CCW objects to the proposal because the site is in open countryside. It would seem as far as the CCW is concerned, there is one law for methane plant installations and another law for wind farm installations in open countryside?
