Coming from a coal mining community, I know of, and have experienced the devastation that occurred under "maggie" when she wrought her vengeance on the coal industry for what the NUM had done to recreational sailor 'Ted Heath'. Once again, John Prescott's "PPS22" gets exposed for what it is... the scandal of the demolition of democratic power in Local Authority Planning Departments. But the one that really takes the biscuit for me is: "in the name of "safety", introduced a new "European" system of colour coding, so that a black electric wire can now be either live or neutral, while a blue wire may be live, neutral or earth, according to when it was installed." I'd be extremely surprised if this crazy scheme doesn't cause far more deaths from domestic electrocutions.

A Carmarthenshire County Council planning official who visited the site has noticed similar coloured pollution seeping out of the old mine workings into Cwm Cathan.
