SOCME   S. Wales, UK
Twmpath dawns is a fine Welsh folk-dancing tradition, not too unsimilar in style to square-dancing, or barn-dancing with a "caller" shouting out the steps of the dances.
In the Welsh language, a twmpath is a hump. Once, it was used to describe a mound on a village green, where musicians would sit and play for the community to dance. Now of course, it's come to mean the event itself - a night of traditional dance steps, mixed with some alcohol of course!
