Revealed: concerts to save the planet (article - web link)
It really beggars belief to try to even remotely imagine how massive a carbon footprint would be created by Al Gore's ill-conceived call for global music concerts in the name of saving the planet from global warming.Unless of course there isn't the remotest chance that the performers and their fans wouldn't have to travel to those concerts and there wouldn't have be any need for conventional electricity to power up all the normal rock show electrical accessories and gadgetry such as gigantic ghetto blasting amplifiers and on-site giant multi-screen video displays, together with the inevitable electrical power required for global TV coverage transmissions. The world really has gone mad!!

Considering the continual 'hype' that we receive from many of our MPs about reducing the environmental impact we create by our travel and lifestyles, it would appear that the above article points the finger of guilt directly back at many MPs as being among the worst culprits.
